There are many species of moth which cause damage such as the warehouse/tobacco moth,
Indian meal moth, brown house moth, case-bearing moth and the clothes moth. It is mainly
the larvae that causes the damage, feeding on stored food produce or textiles depending on
the species, so correct identification is important. Once the source of infestation is located, the
area is treated with a residual insecticide and if the infestation is in the loft, this area can be
treated with residual insecticide and insecticidal smoke bombs.
